Perminder Chohan — The Man Behind the Mission
Perminder Chohan arrived in British Columbia, Canada in 1990 as a young immigrant with nothing but a vision and determination. His early years were defined by hard work — operating machinery in a plastic factory on night shifts, running his own plumbing company, and managing cellular phone stores.
In the late 1990s, a chance encounter at a financial planning interview changed everything. Within just six months of joining the RESP industry, Perminder became the #1 agent nationally. That spark ignited a career that would span decades and touch thousands of lives.
Today, Perminder leads Lifewise Financial Group Inc., a thriving firm with seven offices across BC operating under Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network. He served as Desjardins’ top recruiter in Canada for six consecutive years, growing his operation by 20% every year and personally mentoring over 600 financial advisors.
