Founded in 2018, the Perminder Chohan Foundation is dedicated to three core pillars — Education, Health and Poverty Alleviation. The Foundation’s flagship initiative is a $20,000 endowment scholarship supporting students in the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, BC.
The Perminder Chohan Foundation was established to provide education, healthcare and everyday living needs for people in need. The Foundation organizes multiple food and blanket drives annually and the proceeds are donated to food banks and shelters across the Lower Mainland.
In one of his most significant personal contributions, Perminder and his wife Deep Chohan donated $100,000 to the South Asian Health Fund at Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. For Perminder and Deep, it was never about the amount , it was about showing up for the community that had given them so much. Both believe deeply in the culture of giving, whether it is where they came from or where they have built their family’s life.

At the Drishti Awards Gala in November 2021, Perminder and his wife Deep took to the stage, not to receive an award, but to give. Standing together, they presented a $100,000 cheque to the South Asian Health Fund at Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. As Perminder simply put it, ‘I have always felt very humbled by the fact that I’m able to give back.’ That says it all.
Regular food drives and direct donations to the Surrey Food Bank help keep shelves stocked for families across Surrey and the Lower Mainland — because no one in our community should have to go hungry.
Perminder personally selects 36 charities each year, chosen for their transparency, integrity and real impact on the lives of those who need it most.
Scholarships, debate competitions & university endowments supporting young minds across Surrey, BC.

Annual food drives, blanket drives & shelter support for homeless individuals across the Lower Mainland.
“I am humbled to be involved with the Rotary Club, who aspire to be of service above self. For me money is not that important — it’s being there and supporting someone emotionally that’s more important.”
